Jameela Jamil is once again, calling celebs to task for questionable social media promos. The Good Place star’s latest target is Amber Rose, who’s pregnant and promoting a Flat Tummy product that critics say is basically a “glorified laxative.”
Flat Tummy, it seems, is targeting pregnant women, which as Jamil points out, seems like kind of a contradiction. Rose, in her pitch, claims it’s made to help those with “bloated, nauseous, blah feeling days,” and adds that it’s not a detox tea.
Jamil wrote on social media: “FLAT TUMMY PRODUCTS FOR… PREGNANT WOMEN? Is this FDA approved? Are we… f*cking… KIDDING?” and then tagged the Food and Drug Administration for good measure.
On the label, the tea says it is for pregnant women, but as one social media user pointed out, “I was curious about the ingredients (which I couldn't find) but look at the very bottom. It says, ‘Please do not use the products available on the site when pregnant or breastfeeding.’”
Jamil followed it up, writing: “So many women, with such big platforms, promoting such irresponsible f*cksh*t, that it blows my mind.”
Other followers of Rose pointed out, “That bloating is called a baby.”
