Steve Harvey has a message to all of the haters out there: you can’t bring him down. On Sunday night’s (12/8/19) broadcast of Miss Universe 2019, Harvey made a comment directed to Miss Colombia about the 2015 snafu in which he mistakenly announced her as the winner of the contest: “You’ve forgiven me (but) the cartel has not. They’re not handling it the same way.” The comment immediately received a critical response online, labeling it as offensive.

But early Monday (12/9/19), Harvey tweeted a video of him saying “Now, listen, some bad things are gonna happen to you. That’s life. Know that. The road the success is always under construction.” – the caption of the video read ‘Quit tripping every time something negative happens to you.” This was Harvey’s fifth time hosting the pageant, which crowned Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa as the 2019 winner.
