Are AC/DC or Aerosmith now available to play at weddings? The answer is yes, according to a report at AS.com. The Spanish website reports that one of those two bands is expected to perform at the wedding of soccer star Sergio Ramos and model Pilar Rubio are on June 15th in Seville, Spain.
The Real Madrid defender and his girlfriend are believed to have been negotiating with both legendary rock bands over the past few months, with Aerosmith now reported to be the most likely to play at the reception, a highly private event which will take place on Ramos' farm.
Guitarist Angus Young told us a while back that AC/DC has never changed its approach to playing live: “Somebody once had said, 'You know, people know what they like and like what they know.' In the beginning, we were a, you know, just a rock 'n' roll band, and, you know, when you would play in bars and clubs and stuff, you know, this is what the audience was coming to hear you for.”
Aerosmith would seem to be in a better position to perform, given that AC/DC's lineup has been in flux for the last couple of years. Singer Brian Johnson, drummer Phil Rudd and bassist Cliff Williams all exited the band during the touring cycle for 2014's Rock O Bust LP, although they have reportedly returned for a new album.
