Bob Dylan has just announced a 27-city fall tour, which kicks off on October 11th in Irvine, California at UC Irvine at Bren Events Center and runs through November 20th in Providence, Rhode Island at Providence Performing Arts Center.
Rolling Stone reported: “Dylan’s 'Never Ending Tour' turned 30 this year. He used to play around 100 shows a year — peaking in 2004 with 113 gigs, but he’s scaled it back in recent years. He played 84 shows last year and is on pace to play just 66 this year unless more shows are added. He often sticks to theaters and tiny arenas, but his most recent European tour wrapped up with two massive outdoor co-headlining shows with Neil Young.”
A while back, Bob Dylan spoke candidly about who he is beyond the music: “I can't describe myself in one or two words, considering the fact that I've written over 300 and 400 songs that do describe me. I gotta let those people speak for me. If you wanna find out what I'm like, you usually have to ask other people. Usually you can find out better from someone who don't know me. I think it's wrong for a person to talk about themself (sic). People. . . a person's life speaks for itself. Y'know, if you've done good things, people will spread the news. And if you've done bad things, people will spread the news, too.”
