Procol Harum, led by co-founding keyboardist and lead singer Gary Brooker, is heading to North America for a string of 13 shows at mainly City Winery venues. The band kicks things off on February 17th at Atlanta's City Winery Atlanta and winds things down over two nights — March 4th and 5th — at Boston's City Winery Boston. Procol Harum will be touring behind its 2017 album, Novum, the band's first new studio set since the 2003 collection The Well's On Fire, with the latest album featuring lyrics by legendary Cream wordsmith, Pete Brown.

Gary Brooker said in the tour announcement, “We haven’t visited the U.S.A. since July 2014, and this has enabled us to have the new material from our studio album plus favorites and rarities from the past 50 years. It’s a long time, but Procol is always current (or timeless). See you in the wine bar — mine's a large one!”

Gary Brooker told us that creating a new album is really no different for that band than it was when they were making their bones: “We still make an album that somebody somewhere might sit down and put this on their turntable, or even a CD player, and listen to it. And then, of course you think, 'What should I start it with, what sound I ended it with — and were does this one go and that one?' I still think of it as a whole listening experienced opposed to just the odd thing here and there.” :
