Rob Zombie was joined by Marilyn Manson and Motley Crue/Sixx: A.M. bassist Nikki Sixx for a performance of the Beatles' classic “Helter Skelter” during Monday night's (December 31st) Ozzfest, which took place at the Forum in Los Angeles, California.
Manson and Zombie released a studio version last July of their cover of the song, which the two artists performed on their co-headlining tour that summer. Motley Crue covered the song on 1983's Shout At The Devil album, also releasing it as a picture disc.
Ozzy rang in the New Year about half an hour into his set, which began at 11:30 p.m. to cap off a day-long Ozzfest event that also included performances from Manson, Jonathan Davis of Korn, Body Count, DevilDriver and more. It was Ozzy's first performance since October, when an infection on his hand forced him to postpone several shows on his current “No More Tours 2” trek.
