Sammy Hagar's second annual “High Tide Beach Party & Car Show” will feature a pretty impressive lineup of rock legends. In addition to the Hagar's band the Circle, Hagar posted on his website ( the two-day bash set for September 28th and 29th in Huntington Beach California, will feature Richie Sambora, the Beach Boys, Vince Neil, Blue Oyster Cult, Extreme, Night Ranger, Patty Smyth from Scandal, Tony Lewis from The Outfield, and Steel Panther, among others.

The press release for Sammy Hagar's “High Tide Beach Party & Car Show” reads in part: “The second annual Sammy Hagar’s High Tide Beach Party & Car Show promises to double up on last year’s sold out party. Music, cars and entertainment alongside a selection of delectable food and drink experiences which have been specially-curated for fans to experience the ultimate all-weekend beach party. In addition, fans can take Hula, Tahitian, and country line dancing lessons at The Red Rocker Bar, compete in the corn hole toss and limbo dance tournaments, relax and soak in the rays at Bikini Beach and more.”

Sammy Hagar's laid-back party ethos first took hold back in the '90s when he — and initially his Van Halen bandmates — opened the first Cabo Wabo bar and club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. After establishing a house brand of tequila that caught fire upon being imported in 1999, Hagar sold an 80 percent stake in the company for a reported $80 million. Hagar told us he's extremely proud of the success his brand has had in a relatively short time: “That tequila thing was such a. . . It wasn't a gamble. I don't even have the right words. It was such a, a little, small-time little thing that I did, like a little hobby for fun that exploded and I just had to grab on to it and I've just been on this ride. Y'know, it's like jumping on the back of a rocket ship, y'know, and holding on for dear life.”
