Squeeze has expanded its upcoming summer run, dubbed “The Difford And Tilbrook Songbook 2019.” Among the 15 new dates now on the itinerary include stops in Derry, New Hampshire; Bensalen, Pennsylvania; Washington, D.C.; Hyannis and Lenox, Massachusetts; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Omaha, Nebraska; Arvada; Colorado; and Seattle, Washington, among others. Among the opening acts for the band across the tour will be KT Tunstall, the Mavericks, They Might Be Giants, X, Marshall Crenshaw, and Leon Tilbrook.

In addition to co-founders Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, the band's current lineup is rounded out by Simon Hanson on drums, Stephen Large on keyboards, Yolanda Charles on bass, and Steve Smith on percussion. Back in October 2017, Squeeze released its 15th studio set, titled The Knowledge.

Glenn Tilbrook admitted being estranged from Chris Difford for nearly a decade only made him enjoy and respect their partnership more: “Not working together has enabled us to appreciate each other for what we are. And not having the responsibility of going up each other's noses all the time has enabled us to get back our relationship, which was lost, really, when we started making records. I would rather have the relationship with Chris, and friendship, rather than the professional relationship — that's more important to me. And we get on better now than we have done at, y'know, any point since 1976, which is great.”
