The first dates of the upcoming Black Crowes reunion tour have leaked out. In what's appearing to be the worst kept secret of the year, brothers Chris and Rich Robinson are joining forces for the first time since 2013 for a 2020 tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Crowes' five-time platinum debut album, Shake Your Money Maker.
Blabbermouth reported, "Just a few days after a cartoon graphic popped up on the band's social media, as well as on billboards in the U.S., new electronic billboards were unveiled in New York City, advertising a July 17th concert at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey and a July 18th performance at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York."
When we last caught up with him, Chris Robinson explained to us that like most Black Crowes fans, he was upset by the band's 2015 split, but is content to keep it a private matter for now: ["The Black Crowes is so much time and it’s so complicated and then you mix family and whatever that is into it. And, y'know, I mean, to me, it’s just sad and it’s disappointing, really. It’s unfortunate that on the 25th anniversary — whether the band was working or not — that it really isn’t just about the songs and the good times these people had at these concerts and I’m gonna keep my personal, private family business personal and private."] SOUNDCUE (:31 OC: . . . personal and private)
