I caught the radio bug in the early 60’s listening to local hit music stations. Late in the day when distant stations like WLS, WABC, and WCFL were available I would be in heaven. At night when I was supposed to be asleep I would have my crystal rocket radio clipped to my radiator and would fall asleep while listening to the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys and all the other great bands. In high school I started doing DJ work for Sock Hops, and got introduced to Campus Radio when I arrived at College. I got my first paying radio job after that at a small town AM/FM station, and from there worked my way up including several top rated stations in major markets. When the Lecom Radio opportunity came up I knew I had a new home. I am thrilled to be on the air here, and love all the listeners who share my passion for the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s at WSRQ.
Bob can be found Saturday and Sunday mornings on WSRQ.
